Cell II · How it works

Four moments of a pledge.

Solana can't hold money "until a goal is hit" without someone holding it. Hive skips the holding. Your pledge is a payment you sign today that can only ever be sent all together, after the goal is reached.

Pick an amount and sign once. Your bee fills its cells, and the comb shows everyone how close the goal is.

It waits

Your SOL stays in your wallet while the sun sinks toward the deadline. You can pull your pledge any time before sunset.

The comb fills

If the goal is reached before sunset, the comb seals. At sunset every pledge is sent together, and the creator gets the lot.

Or it flies home

If the sun sets first, nobody sends anything. Each backer closes their cell with one click and gets the small deposit back.

What's inside one cell.

A pledge is an ordinary Solana transfer that you sign but don't send. Four things are sealed inside it, so nobody can change the amount, the creator, or the rules it lives by.

The deadlineYour signed pledge is locked to the keeper's key, so nobody else can send it. At sunset the keeper test-runs every pledge and sends them only if the verified total reaches the goal. sum ≥ 60 SOL by day 14

One rule to know: a pledge only counts if your wallet still holds the amount at sunset. If it doesn't, that one pledge is skipped and the total is checked without it.

Set a goal and a sunset, then share one link. Backers see the comb fill in real time. You only get paid if your people really show up, and they only pay if you hit the goal.

There's no in-between. Either the whole goal is met and everyone pays together, or it isn't and nobody pays at all. That's the promise that makes backing a stranger safe.

What a pledge can't do.

Hive's keeper only decides one thing: whether the goal was met by sunset. The amount and the creator are sealed inside your signature, and you can pull out right up to the deadline.

Before you pledge.

Does Hive hold my money?

No. Your SOL stays in your wallet until sunset. If the goal is met, your pledge goes straight from you to the creator. If not, it never goes anywhere.

Can I take my pledge back?

Yes, any time before sunset. One transaction closes your pledge's tiny account, which makes the signed payment invalid for good and returns the deposit.

What if a backer empties their wallet?

That one pledge fails and is left out of the total. If the goal is still met without it, everyone else's pledges go through. If not, nothing is sent.

What if the goal is beaten?

Every pledge still lands. The goal is a minimum, so a comb can be 150% full and the creator receives all of it.

When exactly do pledges send?

At sunset the first visit to the comb asks the keeper to check it, and the keeper also checks every comb once a day. Pledges are only ever sent if the goal was reached by sunset.

Which wallets work?

Phantom, Solflare and Backpack, or any wallet that can sign a transaction without sending it.

Is this live?
